The Abominable Dr Phibes (1971). A bizarre horror fantasy which combines a psycho-killer plot with The Phantom of the Opera. Atrociously maimed in a car crash, Dr Phibes, while still being able to play the organ beautifully, can now only speak through an electronic gadget in his neck. His plan is to kill the doctors who failed to save his wife's life in surgery; revenge modelled on the Old Testament's ten curses unleashed upon Egypt. Combining genuine fright, absurdist comedy and high camp horror, this is one of the most memorable roles of the great Vincent Price. He clearly has a field day inventing innovative ways of murder (which include bees, boils and bats) and will leave you disgusted and laughing at the same time.

With an introduction by Gareth Miles followed by the screening, this would be a night to remember. Refreshments will be served!

*Access: The Museum is only accessible through a 52-step spiral staircase.
