Team London Bridge’s Love Lunch is Back!

Love Lunch returns to London Bridge for a sixth year to offer the area’s estimated 50,000 work force a menu of free lunch time activities to tempt them to break their daily deskbound routines.

Activities for the Love Lunch 2016 programme have been carefully chosen by Team London Bridge to offer a huge choice of lunch time things to do in London Bridge through September and October. Each has been designed to let people get the most form their precious lunch hour and encourage them to explore, stay fit and well, learn something new or volunteer to give a little back to the community – there’s a comprehensive schedule of free activities that includes everything from chocolate and sushi making, to outdoor fitness sessions, gallery viewings, and wellbeing workshops.

We might not yet be able to consign dining ‘al desko’ to the past quite yet, but Love Lunch 2016 will inspire the London Bridge work force to get the most out of their lunch hour, break a bad habit that most of us share and enjoy the perks of working in the heart of the capital.

One of the main activities this year is going to be a private tour of the Old Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garret on the 4th of October, 2016! This museum is one of the area’s oldest and most interesting attractions and will be open for FREE to Love Lunch participants. Guests will be able to visit the museum and there will be a special talk starting promptly at 1pm. We are also bringing to life a hospital diet lunch bag containing similar items as they used to in the 19th century – these will be handed out on your way out, as food and drinks are not allowed inside the building.

Museum viewing and talk: 12:45 for a 13:00 prompt start.

Access to the museum is through a very tall and narrow staircase so visitors are asked to allow additional time to enter and exit.

To make a reservation go to Eventbrite.

*The Old Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garret cannot take any reservations via e-mail or by phone. This is an activity organized by Team London Bridge.
