Name/TitleSlide Gauge Blood Gas Calculator
About this objectA wide, short pale blue card ruler that has a clear plastic band over slider that is printed with a fine red arrow. The arrow was moved between marked numbers 7.0 -6.6 PH to one side. On the other pale blue side, the central slide is moved across three calculation scales. The top line is marked from 8 - 40, with the middle left of the line set with a small window marked from 0 - 10; the bottom line scale section is marked from 0 - 45 to calculate Gas Volume Correction from 400 - 2000. When a single measurement was put into the ruler, the other two measurements were autiomatically changed, adjusting the Oxygen Association Curve, Expired Air and Gas Volume Correction measurements.
The text reads Oxygen Disassociation Curve // Set cursor P, S to temperature D Set Ph C to be E. Read P A vs 0, SAT % B // to read P,. Set 02, Set 0, Sat% B to P..A Set Cursor be E to ph C. Read P.. S at temperature D."
"Anaerobic temperature change blood // Set measurement H, J to measurement F or K // Set cursor to body temp. and read. Use scale only below P". _
Gas Volume Correction: "Set cursor baro pr R at Spirometer Temp T at PS Volume V at Cursor Index // BTPS: Set Baro PR R to body temp T Rad STPS volume at cursor index on V // STPD: Read STPD V volume at ambient pressure P".
