About this objectA glazed, wide necked jar with rounded shouler that tapers to the narrower base. There is a transfer label of black text "Pure Honey. // Winfield Chemyst; // Solihull." printed to the front face. The Latin word for honey was "Mel" which was listed as used at the old St Thomas' Hospital within liquid prescriptions that also often included roses. It was also used to sweeten medicines.
