The Museum is located within a redbrick church tower at the Borough High Street end of St Thomas’ Street.  

How do get here

The nearest mainline train station is London Bridge (take the St Thomas’ Street exit, turn right and the Museum is less than a five minute walk)

The nearest underground station is also London Bridge, which is on the Northern and Jubilee line. Exit the station via the Borough High street, lift and escalator exit. Turn right out of the station and then first right onto St Thomas’ Street.

Buses: 17, 21,35,40,43, 47, 48, 133, 141,149, 341, 344 and RV1.

All routes stop at either Borough High Street or London Bridge

If your group is arriving by coach, you will not be able to stop in St Thomas’ Street. There are coach stops on nearby Southwark street. Walk south on Southwark Street to join Borough High Street and then right into St Thomas St. Walking time to the Museum is approximately ten minutes.  

Accessibility

Access and exiting the Museum is via a narrow 52- step spiral staircase. We do have a small lift for people with reduced mobility only. If any member of your group will need use of the lift please let us know in advance by email. Once in the Museum, the floor is uneven in places and there are an addition few steps to enter and exit the Operating Theatre.
