Local artist, Beth Crane, has created a range of jewellery based on the museum’s collection. Our extensive range of apothecary bottles were the inspiration for this pendant. If you like blue, this one is for you! Belladonna is what it contained! Belladonna is a poisonous plant that has been used as a medicine since ancient times. It is name comes from the “beautiful women” of Renaissance Italy, who took it to enlarge their pupils, which they found more alluring. Each apothecary bottle is different. The material is Perspex and it is translucent. Consider getting a matching pendant and a brooch to complete the set!
