As a registered charity (no: 1155078), the Old Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garret generates income from museum admissions, education, events, and our museum shop, all of which is invested back into the upkeep of this historic space, its collection and exciting programming. With the advent of Covid-19, the museum had to temporarily close, meaning all of these income streams were paused (some of them indefinitely). These are the ways in which you can support us:
As a small museum, we are grateful to the help of a small team of volunteers who provide addition support in a variety of roles. We like to think volunteering with us is a unique, rewarding and enjoyable experience, so take a look at what opportunities are available.
Help us secure the long-term future of the museum by making a one-off or regular donation. Thank you for your support.
Explore our online shop to discover our fun, varied, and exclusive range featuring local artists. If you are looking for the perfect quirky gift to surprise yourself or someone else, we have it! We are delighted to announce that our shop has been Highly Commended for the 2020 Museum + Heritage Awards.
